Blog Makeover!

Kanakuk Update

On the second day of Kananuk we rode the barn swing! We went into this building kind of like a barn and we climbed up onto this big platform.There was a counselor up there to help us so we climbed onto this swing. Under us was a big ball pit. The rules were that we had to try to swing around until you get on the platform again. If you didn't get on the platform, you'd fall in the ball pit and the "sharks" would get you! The sharks were the boy counselors and they would drag us around! It was really fun!!!! My favorite counselors at camp were Jess, Megan, and Meg. Although, every counselor was awesome!

More Kanakuk

At Kanakuk they split up the kids into age groups. There's Riptide which is 7 - 11 year olds. There is Breakers which are 12 - 18. Also, kids under 7 are Cocunut Kids. Well, I was with Riptide and the first day we went to the ropes course. They strapped some cords on every kid and they cords are very strong. You had to go through the whole ropes course with a partner and then u go down the HUGE zip line. Also we got to rock climb.
I was sooo tired after all that work! I will tell about the second day on my next blog!

Kanakuk Kamp Rox!!!

Sorry I haven't written in forever! I have been really busy. I am at Kanukuk Family Kamp with my family (of course) and it is great here! I have a new (camp) best friend also! Her name is Caroline and she is awesome!!!!! She is soooooo nice and we're having a great time together. We are staying in a camp designed to be like Hawaii. They have putt-putt, pools with awesome slides, a game room and computer room, a place called the Bamboo Bean which serves smoothies and milkshakes, and TONS more. Each family has their own cabana (cabin) which are very nice also. Its kind of like a hotel here! I have to go but I will write soon!

Shark Attack! (NOT!)

Yesterday we were at the beach and Maggie and I were building a sand castle with our new friend Rachel. Rachel was out at the beach when we were and we all became friends. She lives in Ohio which is pretty far from where I live! Anyway, we saw a huge gathering of people a little ways from us. Maggie, Rachel, and I suddenly became curious so we ran over there to see what was happening. We soon figured out that there was a shark a few feet away from the shore! Two fins kept coming out of the water and everyone thought that there were two sharks! Later we figured out that they were just sand sharks and that they couldn't harm people. Well it sure was scary and really exciting at the same time!

Calvin Klein MISSING!

Calvin Klein our cat has been missing for about two weeks. Calvin disappeared before we left for South Carolina. He was our second cat we ever had and he was the smallest kitten I have ever seen! We always let him in the house in the mornings and he would go back outside at night. Our family called him "road kill" because he would lay on his back with his paws and legs up in the air when he was sleeping and he looked dead. My family misses him very much and maybe we will see him again some day.

Good and Bad

I have a lot to catch up on! Well, my grandparents (I call them Mimi and Poppi) were on a cruise ship coming back from Rome and my Mimi had a little stroke and they had to turn the whole ship around to go to the hospital! So my family decided to leave late Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. We finally arrived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Monday afternoon and our condo is amazing! We have a beautiful view of the ocean and a lazy river runs underneath all the condos. I love it here!!!! My family will be staying here for 2 weeks. My Mimi is doing much better and will be coming home this Friday. C ya on my next blog!
